There are so many different lotions and potions accessible to care for nice hair and skin nowadays it is challenging to choose the best one. With a trip to your local drugstore, you will be greeted by row after row of shelves brimming with various products, all promising to operate wonders and make miracles. I think the sole way to find out which products are good for you would be to experiment and check out by yourself. One of my favourites that I am using for a time might be argan oil.
Sometimes termed as ‘liquid gold’, it is a natural product, obtained from the kernels from the argan tree that is indigenous to Morocco. It is used as a moisturiser plus in products to look after your hair. The reason is , the reality that the oil features a high nutrient content and it is full of fat, anti-oxidants and vitamin e d-alpha that is vital for healthy skin and hair. It is also renowned to make hair soft, silky and shiny and also to make wild hair more manageable. Other reported great things about argan oil for hair are the promotion of healthier hair growth, protection against scalp dryness and itching and the restoration of dry and damaged hair. Being a non-greasy, easily absorbed oil it is utilized as a skin moisturiser that may benefit dermititis in particular. It is usually noted for it’s anti-ageing properties and lots of advocates of argan oil have stated how it has helped their skin problems like acne and eczema. I have used argan aceite to assist in treating dried-out skin on my joints and it did wonders to me and left my skin beautifully soft and smooth without irritation.
As a consequence of it’s benefits, celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Taylor Swift are all users of argan oil to help maintain their head of hair and skin. It’s even beginning to come in mascara formulas because it’s claimed it will help to make your lashes longer plus more lustrous. My locks are very dry and contains a wiry texture (it almost feels like fine fishing line) and the oil in it’s pure form helps add moisture and softness to my hair. Even if you are lucky enough to get have naturally soft hair, argan oil is a fairly final touch to include extra gloss and shine.
Although finding shampoos, conditioners, hairstyling products and skincare products containing argan oil is not hard, as a result of oil’s rarity they are presented with a relatively high price. When i previously mentioned, the oil is obtained from the argan tree which can be within southern Morocco. The traditional method of extracting the oil was to collect argan fruit, dry it, extract the nuts, crack these phones reveal the kernels after which to crush these to release their oil. The process was done manually and took fifteen hours of labour and 32 kilograms of fruit to produce only one litre of oil! Today the kernels are mechanically cold pressed (heat damages the oil’s chemical properties). The tree is rare, extracting the oil is labour intensive… therefore, the high price. However, the good news is just a little oil goes a considerable ways.
The scarcity in the argan tree is when the situation lies. There are so many products out there now that incorporate argan oil or are marketed as ‘argan oil’ or ‘Moroccan oil’. However if you simply check out the label, there are often other ingredients (for example silicon) in larger quantities as opposed to actual argan oil. Cosmetic companies need to give your very best in order that the provision of argan oil is sustainable and also a high quality, untainted by other oils or substances.
How do we know you are receiving genuine? If you’re getting a product containing argan oil – look into the ingredients. Check for ‘argania spinosa kernel oil’, it should be high up all the ingredients list and ideally, the merchandise should contain as few ingredients as is possible. The more things that the oil is blended with, the less efficient the oil will probably be. In case you are buying pure argan oil, ensure it is within a dark coloured bottle because light passing through a clear bottle can break up the oil’s chemical properties. Some products which are marketed as argan oil also contain a carrier oil such as olive or sunflower oil. Be conscious of the value you might be paying. Argan oil doesn’t need to break the bank but as well, this is a rare oil that is certainly labour intensive to generate so isn’t usually sold in a ‘giveaway’ price. The top argan oil product isn’t just the more costly fresh fruits the phrase, ‘you get whatever you pay for’.
