A new 2016 Christmas rock-POP tune has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key aim of bringing awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day website .
The songs name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs genre is a special up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo track since then looking forward to the possibility to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used session players to studio record the music durring a 6 week period. The songs includes 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the female lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA due to Mark wanted the best result and quality. The song is now ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The key goal of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day website as possible and then hopefully in-turn they’ll be kind enough to help to one or all the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the track.
The other definitive goal is to get enough downloads of the track to help fund and setup a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, that’ll present free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged children from the local colleges and children’s orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open yet but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to advertise his music Tsunami Day that was inspired from his own personal experiences while he was working in Patong in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous ways to help including a Phuket island Accommodation and cheap flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every dime helps.
