A new 2016 Christmas rock song has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key purpose of providing attention and exposure for the Phuket charity and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket site .

The songs name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs genre is a distinctive up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then awaiting the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used session players to record the song over a 6 week period. The songs contains 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the female lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the United States due to Mark needed the best outcome and quality. The track is now ready to be listened to and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The main goal of recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day site as we are able to and then ideally in-turn they will be kind enough to contribute to at least one or all of the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the track.
Another absolute goal is to have enough downloads of the track to fund and create a Phuket live music club with open stage and studio / teaching room on Phuket, that will present free lessons and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the local colleges and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open yet but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day web site to market his track Tsunami Day that was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was residing in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there is numerous ways to greatly help including a Phuket island Hotel and cheap flights to Thailand booking system. Every penny helps.
