With all the relieve the modern 2 wheel self balancing electric scooter, 2015 has been a fantastic year for gadget fans. Across the world, people are taking to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to post photos and videos of themselves zipping around on this 2 wheel contraption which basically seems like a board using a wheel on either sides.
A mixture of a skateboard plus a segway, this mini Segway (with no handle) type thing is bolstering in popularity, fuelled to some extent with the quantity of celebrities which have been seen one. From Justin Bieber to Soulja Boy, Kendall Jenner to Jamie Foxx, all have tried their hand as of this nifty little gadget, and seem to get a lots of fun doing so.
Nicknamed the ‘swegway’ (as a consequence of it’s likeness on the Segway, but a ‘cooler’ version) we are really not sure entirely where this particular smart electric scooter comes from or who invented the very first. Almost certainly it comes from some factory in China. The first glimpses we saw from it on tv were something known as the IO Hawk, a scooter that will cost you a whopping $1800. This is back January of 2015. Ever since then many cheaper versions of the product have come in the marketplace and the average price at the moment is apparently around $500.
How does it work? Basically you climb onto both panels and shift your system weight slightly forward or slightly back also it senses this bodyweight change and moves backwards or forwards. It may also turn left or right. This smart electric scooter is becoming quite popular that it is being touted because the personal mobility device into the future. Who wishes to walk when you can glide, right? Plus it’s really a lot faster than walking, travelling at speeds of 6mph to 10mph.
