Sabrina Ho, director of Poly Macau and Stanley ho daughter and Angela Leong, declared case is co-organized by Poly Macau and Chiu Yeng Culture. “I hope a compilation of cultural events [organized by the two companies] may bring to Macau new aspects that will permit to keep the diversification from the economy,” said Ho, who also expects that artists and art collectors worldwide continually support Macau being an art platform.
“We continually bring Macau more diversified cultural activities, and [will support] Macau to develop itself as a global art platform,” said Ho and “hopefully that Macau may become a well- known art capital down the road.”
Regency Hotel opened in 1983 and it has experienced past business closures. Ho, however, hopes to transform it into an art hotel. “In Macau, there may be many resplendent big hotels, however the amount of hotels that are utilized for art or even some creational events is, actually, much less great,” said Ho.
At present, Regency Hotel is just not running any casinos, which, according to Ho, results in a different atmosphere compared to other hotels. She also thinks that guests residing in this hotel are more “private.”
The “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” will probably be held with the Regency Hotel until November 27. As many as 60 exhibition halls will probably be arranged to produce art pieces from 60 artists born after 1975.
Ho claims that only a couple of hotels are able to provide young people rooms and invite young people to design the rooms for the children.
