The Poly Macau Art Auction has been held again until today on the Regency Art Hotel. The kinds include Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Chinese Ceramics and Artwork in addition to Jewels and Prestige Collections.
Masterpieces of Chinese modern art maestros is going to be displayed to represent the key developments of Chinese contemporary art history, including Wu Guangzhong’s “Snowscape in Beijing”, that’s estimated for sale at HKD14 million up to HKD28 million.
Other considerations for example Chinese ceramics and artworks, including those in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, bronzes, lacquers, Buddhism figures, and fine stationery is going to be up for auction.

Sabrina Ho, director of Poly Macau and Stanley ho daughter and Angela Leong, declared that the big event is co-organized by Poly Macau and Chiu Yeng Culture. “I hope which a series of cultural events [organized through the two companies] will bring to Macau new aspects which will allow to carry on the diversification in the economy,” said Ho, who also expects that artists and art collectors worldwide continually support Macau being an art platform.
“We continually bring Macau more diversified cultural activities, and [will support] Macau to create itself as a global art platform,” said Ho and “hopefully that Macau could become a well- known art capital down the road.”
Regency Hotel opened in 1983 and it has experienced past business closures. Ho, however, wishes to transform it into an art form hotel. “In Macau, there may be many resplendent big hotels, nevertheless the variety of hotels which can be useful for art or even some creational events is, actually, less than great,” said Ho.
Presently, Regency Hotel just isn’t running any casinos, which, as outlined by Ho, generates a different atmosphere in comparison with other hotels. She also thinks that guests staying in this hotel will be more “private.”
The “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” is going to be held on the Regency Hotel until November 27. A total of 60 exhibition halls is going to be arranged to produce artworks from 60 artists born after 1975.
