The cast of characters are settling looking their new situations. They think that nothing much must be happening to upset that world, yet, they’re surprisingly wrong.
This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue finds authentically being a comedy of errors and misinformation. The premise is not hard enough and simply subtle enough to provide a good base.
Ma Foster provides housing on her behalf “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. The three in residence are missing. Ma produces a huge problem regarding it. She even travels to the area newspaper once the local police do not respond to her fears. She does bring in the out-of-work detective, the newest editor from the local newspaper and finally the city itself.
The central character is Henrietta, who had previously been named following your town showcased, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Henrietta offers quite a bit looking for her nowadays, she’s got gone to live in the big city, OKC, OK and landed employment with the local t.v. station. The other main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor from the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private eye which has a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo because “reality” show director trying to shot a pilot for any new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, being a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round ancient boy, relates to town to aid in his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.
Once these people have a go at the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With additional rumors then a facts probably warrant, the 3 missing girls be plus more objects of speculation and intrigue while hardly any factual information is given. The rumors begin mild because missing girls are only looked for by Ma and Maximo.
These rumors and gossip finally run up to an important “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading within the news and then the townspeople.
