The results of the Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles competition, which occurred in La Serena, Chile, on August 22, 23 and 24, 2017, are just released. Three kinds of medals were awarded: Grand Gold, Gold and silver coins. Again, the competition become a bellwether to the latest trends within the whole world of spirits, providing an annually updated snapshot of underlying changes.
The top five medal-winning countries in 2017 are France (incl. overseas territories: Guadeloupe, Martinique along with the Reunion Island), China, Mexico, Italy and Taiwan. France as well as overseas territories also achieved the highest quantity of Grand Gold Medals (8), then Mexico (3) then Italy and Spain, each with two Grand Gold Medals.
