A Course In Miracles (ACIM) teaches us that Facts are within the mind. Yet you will find there’s belief system that produces deception, a state of unawareness, which obscures the attention of truth. There is just one single Spirit, but there seem many thoughts, emotions, and perceptions that conceal understanding of Spirit. They’re all temptations to forget Self and God. If faith is given about bat roosting illusions, there’s not willingness to question the actual false belief at the root of all misperception. It doesn’t matter how improved or inflated the limited self is apparently, it will never be the changeless, eternal Self that God created. You have to keep in mind the trap of thinking that one’s happiness, comfort, and salvation are somewhere off in the foreseeable future. The linear (past- future) thought of time is part of the dualistic belief system that must definitely be questioned. There is great joy and contentment in the experience with NOW. God isn’t longing for us or dangling a carrot of eternal peace before us, saying “Here’s Enlightenment, keep reaching . . .OOPS, you missed again.” Out of this Course In Miracles we discover Enlightenment is right here, at this time, for that mind that is ready, open, and willing to recognize it.
The country of Heaven is at hand means it is currently. Might be the gateway to the Eternal. For serious amounts of eternity cannot both exist.
