How weddings have changed within the decades! Coming from a handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight wedding ceremony members; a fairly easy wedding car to expensive and large wedding cars; three course meals to 6 course meals; 1 to 3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
Speaking of rogues, wedding speeches are nevertheless a fundamental part of a marriage and guests do look ahead to hearing them, discussing them before, during as well as after they’ve been delivered.
We are all aware of wedding speeches delivered prior to meal, through the meal after your food, yet it’s of your strong opinion the wedding speeches must be delivered following your meal. I know that for most wedding party speakers i.e. Father in the Bride Speech, Father with the wedding speeches (5 main speakers), they will want to contain the wedding speeches prior to meal, to allow them to enjoy their meal (some of them are paying for it!). However, it’s all about the invited guests and exactly how most of them (as wll as the marriage venue staff) would rather wedding ceremony speeches to be delivered as soon as the meal for several reasons, some of which include:
The invited guests have been fed and watered and are not playing wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which may be before the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival in the wedding venue)
Food might be cooked and served at the agreed time (introduce the wedding speeches ahead of the meal along with their could be a delay of A quarter-hour one.5 hours, driving your kitchen staff crazy trying to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding speeches become the transition from your meal to the dancing (with nothing happening following your meal, folks are expecting ‘a few words’ to become shared about the Bride & Groom after which they do know they can get out of bed, move, take a rest, take a stroll, navigate to the bar…)
It can be hard for moms and dads with the Bride & Groom to talk in public, as the majority of them may not be used from it. So, they might, whenever they so wished, speak prior to the / their meal.
There should nevertheless be some sort of formal wedding speech(es) following the meal…
