A fresh 2016 Christmas rock n roll track has been written, created and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main goal of getting awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket web site .
The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a special up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and partially recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo guide since then awaiting the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used local session musicians to studio record the track durring a six week period. The songs contains 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the United States as a result of Mark needed the most effective result and quality. The music is currently ready to be listened to and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The key aim of recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day site as we can and then ideally in-turn they will be kind enough to donate to 1 or any of the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the song.
One other definitive goal is to be able enough downloads of the music to fund and setup a Phuket live music bar with open stage and studio / teaching room on Phuket, that will present free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged children from the area’s schools and orphanages. To date ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open yet but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
